Camp Information

Arrival and Departure

The camp runs from the Sunday through to the following Saturday.

You’re welcome to join us from the Sunday and leave whenever you are ready on the Saturday. We’ll still be setting everything up before hand and will start taking things down over the weekend, especially if the weather’s kind.

If you would like to arrive early or stay late we can arrange this for a small additional fee, please see the booking form for details.

Campers are welcome to arrive between 9am and 4pm. Someone will be available to register you, site you, answer any queries and get you settled. When you arrive book in at the office tent on the left.

Activities

We have 5 full days of activities running from the Monday to the Friday night

Activities included our usual daily crafts, drama, bush craft, knots, campfire cooking, crochet, meditation, sacred space, reflexology, animation, face painting, knit and natter, role playing games, football, music and movement, music workshops, orienteering and map making. We will of course have our usual evening entertainment and talent show.

The activities are all organised and delivered by volunteers so the exact activities on offer vary depending on the interests and skills of the crew and campers at each camp. If you have an activity you would like to run or skill you would like to share please contact us so we can arrange to incorporate it in the weeks activities.

Market Day

At each camp we have a market day at the end of the week where children and/or their parents can make or bring things to sell.

Sports Day

At each camp we run a no-competitive, inclusive sports day suitable for all ages and abilities.

Facilities

Electric Hookups

We can provide a small number of electric hookups. If you have booked a pitch with a hookup please ensure you have brought ample extension cables to ensure you can access the hookup point. If you have booked early arrival please not that electric hookups are unlikely to be ready until the Sunday.

Phone Charging

We have electric points in the office tent for recharging your mobiles, laptops, tablets or whatever with a donations pot for use. Please see a member of crew.

Fires

Fires are permitted off ground. Please bring a fire pit or pan if you would like a fire. We have a small number of fire pits that can be rented during the camp.

Fire wood is for sale at £5 a bag, please see a member of crew.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome but please keep them on leads on the field at all times. Please pick up after them and be aware that it’s a working farm. There are livestock around in the surrounding fields and there are cats and other dogs around.

Play Area

There is a giant sandpit and play area for the younger kids.

Local Area Information

Drefach Felindre

Drefach Felindre is the closest village, 5 minutes drive down the road from the farm. In the village there is a local shop for basics, a chip shop and a health / wholefoods store.

Newcastle Emlyn

Newcastle Emlyn is about 15 minutes drive with a larger supermarket and more facilities.

Carmarthen

The big named shops are in Carmarthen around 30 minutes away by car.

People are always popping in and out and usually leave a note in the office for shopping pick ups and offers so keep an eye out for that as it saves people going miles if they don`t need too.
